I remember watching a documentary when I first became interested in the Titanic (which was around age 10, I think, and before the movie released in '97) that said they were theorizing it was going to collapse into it self in roughly sixty years. 2030 would be earlier than that estimate but still pretty close.
But, yeah, the Titanic is basically a really weird whalefall and that's just another really cool thing about her.

Aida was recently revived in Scheveningen in the Netherlands (with a fully POC cast!)
Tumblr media
Granted, they made some changes that kinda wrecked the show and it wasn’t a popular run, but a student of mine played in it and she absolutely crushed it so I love it anyway
A somewhat common idea I see passed around is that 20 years should pass after a show's closing before it is revived. So here are a small sampling of musicals that are due or almost due a Broadway revival by popular wisdom:
Annie Get Your Gun (last Broadway revival closed 2001)
Seussical (closed 2001)
The Rocky Horror Show (last Broadway revival closed 2002)
Man of La Mancha (last Broadway revival closed 2003)
Thoroughly Modern Millie (closed 2004)
Urinetown (closed 2004)
Aida (closed 2004)
Assassins (closed 2004)
Pacific Overtures (last Broadway revival closed 2005)
Dracula (closed 2005)
Sweet Charity (last Broadway revival closed 2005)
You can decide which (if any) of them deserve a revival right now. Just for fun, here are some shows that have waited a bit longer than 20 years:
Brigadoon (last Broadway revival closed 1981)
Oliver! (last Broadway revival closed 1984)
Dreamgirls (last Broadway revival closed 1987)
Chess (closed 1988)
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (last Broadway revival closed 1994)
Kiss of the Spider Woman (closed 1995)
Passion (closed 1995)
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (last revival closed 1998)
The Sound of Music (last Broadway revival closed 1999)
Titanic (closed 1999)
Again, you can decide which (if any) of them deserve a revival right now.
Of course, there are also all the shows that haven't been revived since the 70's or earlier, but if I included them we'd be here all day.
I should note that this list is not even remotely comprehensive even only counting the musicals that closed after 1980, and if it was this post would be much longer.

While every force available in the world is searching for the 5 people in the oceangate submersible, a boat filled with mostly Syrian and Pakistani refugees sank under still “unknown” circumstances off the coast of Peloponnisos, Greece (with the coast guard present). More than 600 people drowned but guess which of the two is making headlines

Thank you for that fine forensic analysis, Mr. Bodine. Of course the experience of it was... Somewhat different.

this is probably the best take I’ve heard so far on the debate of people being told that they aren’t having enough ‘compassion’ for billionaires making bad decisions and paying the obvious consequences for it
